Rooted in Purpose, Driven by Innovation
At NuLeaf Farms, we see a future where food is grown closer to the people who need it — using technology, data, and design to reduce waste, improve access, and support local economies. Our work is driven by the belief that controlled environment agriculture (CEA) can be a force for good — for communities, for growers, and for the planet.
We’re on a mission to:
Empower growers with scalable, automated systems that boost yields and reduce operating costs
Design resilient food systems that thrive in any climate or geography
Support local food economies by making year-round production accessible and profitable
Drive sustainability through water-efficient, low-footprint growing methods
Demystify innovation by making advanced farm technologies easier to adopt and manage
Build partnerships that align agriculture with education, healthcare, and economic development goals
Company History
NuLeaf was founded with a vision to revolutionize sustainable agriculture and address the growing need for food security. From humble beginnings to becoming a trusted name in the industry, NuLeaf’s journey is driven by a shared commitment to transforming the way we grow and access fresh, nutritious food.
Launched with a mission to grow better food using innovative indoor agriculture solutions.
Began R&D on integrating automation, environmental controls, and data analytics with horticultural best practices.
Moved into our first commercial space and completed construction of a full-scale production facility. Grew dozens of food and medicinal crops, developed culinary applications, and refined our technology for broader deployment.
Began designing and constructing full-service farms for communities, institutions, and commercial clients across the Prairies and British Columbia.
Expanded operations across Canada and into the U.S. with the release of our proprietary Leaf and Root technology — a modular, fully integrated system that helps greenhouse growers and indoor farms increase yields, reduce labor, and lower operational costs.
Actively supporting ranchers with automated fodder systems, partnering with Indigenous communities for food sovereignty, and helping greenhouse growers, schools, food banks, and commercial farms create sustainable, profitable growing operations.
